Theory Wire does not sell, rent, trade or share personal information for advertising, profiling or commercial exploitation. This is a permanent commitment.

Reading and preferences

You can read without an account. We do not use advertising trackers, behavioral profiles or analytics tracking. Your theme preference is stored in your browser; signed-in members can also save it to their account.

Member accounts and contributions

If you create an account, we store the details needed to provide it: your public username, profile, authentication details and contributions. Your login email is private. Profiles, approved comments and public contributions are visible to readers. Session cookies keep you signed in.

Security and moderation

We process technical information, including IP addresses and security events, to protect accounts and prevent abuse. Security and moderation records are used for operating and protecting the site, not advertising or profiling.

Advertising and external services

Advertising placements must meet our privacy standards. We do not provide member information to advertisers or allow behavioral advertising trackers. If you choose Google sign-in, Google handles that authentication under its own policy. Following an external link or loading an externally hosted image connects your browser to that service.
